Review - A WITCH HOUSE & OKKVLT GUIDE TO TWIN PEAKS CDR

Witch house owes a significant debt of gratitude to the aesthetic vision of David Lynch.  The surreal and magical world of Twin Peaks provides a backdrop for this new mixtape.

Let's face it.  If you know about this, you probably already have a copy.  If you don't, for some reason or another, it's time to beg borrow and steal to find one. With standout tracks from Mater Suspiria Vision Feat. How I Quit CrackDE▲TH▲CO▲STMULHOLL▲ND DRIVE and \\\^◊^/// ranging from witchy house to drone, this mixtape delivers. And all with a healthy dose of Laura Palmer screams.

Many of the tracks merely overlay monologues from the most mysterious characters of Twin Peaks, but the exceptional examples have taken Angelo Badalamenti's original score for their own.   DE▲TH▲CO▲ST takes Badalamenti's The Nightingale from a warped 60's sock hop to a dragged and spaced out call to the Black Lodge.

Wyndham Earle and Log Lady make contributions for Mater Suspiria Vision Feat. How I Quit Crack and \\\^◊^/// to evoke the ghosts of David Lynch's past.  As with most MSV material, videos have been made and posted for both tracks and they definitely enhance the experience.

Witch House has been gaining some steam lately and I hope the trend continues.
